University of Northern Colorado History
University of Northern Colorado was established in the year 1889. It is a public and research university which is situated in Greeley in Colorado. Initially it was named as the State Normal School of Colorado. It has got a long history of teacher’s education. Its goal is to prepare students for the outside world.
University of Northern Colorado Programs, Courses and Schools
University of Northern Colorado has got five colleges which various departments offering degrees in undergraduate, postgraduate, masters and doctoral programs. It also offers research and innovation programs, certificate courses, PhD and study abroad programs.
Student to faculty ratio is 17:1 with average class size of 27 students. Faculties offer more of a practical approach than the theoretical approach to teach students. It is known for its intensive English program.

University of Northern Colorado campus covers an area of 260 acres with green and secure environment. Facilities offered are recreational centre, athletic field, art galleries, museums, cultural centre, campus store, health centre, studio, theatre, herbarium and fitness centre. Students can be the part of more than 150 student clubs. University media has newspaper and radio station.
The university has two libraries, one of them being a music library. It has a huge collection of periodicals, government books, e-books, publications, reserves, catalogues and research guides. Databases, audio-video, tutorials, meeting rooms and study rooms are accessible by the students and faculties.

University of Northern Colorado is a known research university of U.S. It has been ranked among top 400 universities of the country by the U.S. News and World Report. The Times Higher Education ranked the university among to 1000 universities of U.S. Its arts program is nationally ranked.
