University of Novi Sad History                                        

University of Novi Sad  colloquially known as UNS is a higher education establishment located in Novi Sad, Serbia. The university was established in 1960 after the merger of a number of smaller schools to meet the growing need for education in the country. It has ever since grown to enrol over 42000 students and employs 3000 plus academic staff.

University of Novi Sad Programs, Courses, and Schools

University of Novi Sad comprises of 14 faculties and 3 institutes offering a range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. Some of the subject offerings include Science and Technology, Technical Sciences, Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Philosophy, Medicine, Health Sciences, and Public Health.

University of Novi Sad also offers programs in Economics, Business Management, Accounting and Finance, Law, Agricultural Studies, Sports Sciences, Physical Education, Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Pedagogy and Education, and Civil Engineering.

University of Novi Sad Campuses

University of Novi Sad is based across four campuses in Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, Subotica, and Sombor in Vojvodina, Serbia. The Novi Sad campus houses the major faculties and institutions and serves as the administrative headquarters of the university.

University of Novi Sad offers a range of facilities which include classrooms and lecture halls, laboratories, university hospitals and clinics with teaching facilities, and well-stocked libraries. The university also offers student housing and dormitories, sports clubs and courts, dining options, bookstore, and open green spaces on its campus.

University of Novi Sad is placed in 1001+ bracket in Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021 and is accredited by Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia. The university is also ranked 2nd nationally by UniRank.

University of Novi Sad is also ranked amongst top 350 universities in the world to study Agriculture and Forestry QS World University Rankings by subject. The university is also ranked 119th in the EECA University Rankings by QS Top Universities.

University of Novi Sad USP

University of Novi Sad is affiliated to a number of professional bodies including European University Association, Danube Rectors' Conference, Central European Exchange Program for University Studies, Balkan Universities Network, and ACRU to name a few.

University of Novi Sad is not a very selective institution and has an acceptance rate of 60 to 70%. The university also offers a number of distance learning degrees and tuition fee waivers, scholarships, bursaries, and grants to students.
