Malala Yousafzai, a 17-year-old Pakistani woman who works as an education campaigner and produces films and television shows, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014. She is the only Pashtun to win a Nobel Prize, the second Pakistani, and the youngest Nobel laureate in history. In her native Swat, where the Pakistani Taliban occasionally prohibited girls from attending school, Yousafzai is a human rights activist for women's and children's education.
