The University of Phoenix also known as UOPX is a private University which was established in the year 1976 and is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. The University of Phoenix was founded by John Sperling where the first class consisted of eight students. In 1980, the university expanded to San Jose, California, and in 1989, the university launched its online program.
