Housing facilities (Accommodation)

On-campus housing provides a safe and secure location that promotes community, engagement, and fosters individuality and independence. All students under the age of 23 living outside of 50 miles are required to live on campus for the first four semesters. First-year housing includes Holzer Hall for males and Davis Hall for females, while upperclassmen reside in Wellness Hall. Gender-inclusive housing is also available. The residence halls include standard amenities such as furnished double occupancy rooms, high-speed internet access, free on-site laundry, and communal lounge areas. Room upgrades, such as single rooms, are also available. The Total Living plan includes both room and board, with meal plans including up to 19 meals per week in the all-you-can-eat dining facility, "The Marketplace."

Student Safety

The University of Rio Grande offers campus safety and security services including 24-hour foot and vehicle patrols, a late-night transport/escort service, 24-hour emergency telephones, lighted pathways and sidewalks, and controlled dormitory access using keys or security cards. A Campus Police officer is on duty 24 hours a day to ensure the safety and security of all students, faculty, and staff.

From job and internship searches to interview preparation, they offer resources to support students every step of the way. The office uses Handshake, a leading career platform, where students can schedule career coaching appointments, search for jobs and internships, sign up for career fairs and events, and network with employers. Career coaching is available for one-on-one sessions to discuss goals, update resumes and cover letters, build LinkedIn profiles, prepare for graduate school applications, and conduct mock interviews. The Career Closet provides free professional clothing for interviews, career fairs, and networking events.
