University of Rouen History

The University of Rouen is a French university located in Mont-Saint-Aignan, France. It is a public university which was established in the year 1966 from the University of Caen and currently enrolls over 25,000 students.

The University of Rouen is an age-old higher education university that maintains its methodology in its teaching-learning process. The university offers courses at bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels with its major specializations in Science, Medicine, and Law. The university also offers research programs in subjects like Chemistry, Health Sciences, Biology, Environmental Sciences, and Mathematics.

The University of Rouen also comprises of a number of research centers such as School of Medicine and Pharmacy, College of Science, College of Law, Literary College, Institute of Letters, EBU Psychology, Higher School of Teaching and Education, Higher School of Engineering in Innovative Technologies, and University Center for Continuing Education and Alternation. 

University of Rouen Campus

The University of Rouen offers a number of accommodation options around the university campus however the university does not offer any on-campus accommodation. The university has made special arrangements in the nearby hospitals where students can get themselves treated. Students are provided with an ID card that can be used in and around the university in places like cafeterias, restaurants, and shops.

The University of Rouen has over 50 clubs and associations wherein students can join as per their interests and likings. Indoor and outdoor activities are conducted such as Basketball, Badminton, Volleyball, Tennis, Dance, Chess, and Table Tennis. The student center at the university is equipped with a theater, an amphitheater, conference rooms, a practice room for art and craft, and an art gallery.

The University of Rouen ranks 52nd in the country and 924th worldwide by the CWUR in the year 2019 whereas the Times Higher Education (THE) has listed the university in the top 1000 universities worldwide.
The University of Rouen is the first university in the world to successfully perform the Trans Catheter Aortic Valve Implantation by Professor Alain Criber in the year 2002.
