University of Sarajevo History

University of Sarajevo is a higher education institution located in the city of Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The university’s origin dates back to year 1537 when it was founded as an Islamic madrasa. The university is one of the oldest universities in the country and enrols over 30000 students.

University of Sarajevo comprises of 32 faculties in total offering undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral level programs in subjects such as Economics, Business, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Criminal Science, Political Science, Sports and Physical Education, and Pharmacy.
