University of St. Gallen History

The University of St. Gallen was established in the year of 1898, it’s a research university located in Switzerland. It one of the world’s leading university. In 1963, the university moved to new buildings and changed its name to College of Economics and Social Sciences. With the release of the Higher Education Act of 1989, the university was renamed to University of St. Gallen for economics, law and social sciences to reflect its curricula. 

University of St. Gallen Programs, Courses, and Schools

The University of St. Gallen Degrees are now divided into Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral programs in accordance with the Bologna Process. Courses at the Bachelor level are typically taught in German, while many Master's programs and most Doctoral programs are taught in English. Also, it specializes in economics, law, business administration, and international affairs.

The University of St. Gallen is famous for its integration of art and architecture. The main building was designed by Walter Foerderer is a significant example of 1960s architecture. The Library Building of 1989, works of art complement the diversity of architectural forms in a narrative fashion. The university also offers student with a wide range of outdoor sports facilities like hiking, skiing, climbing, and sailing.
