Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd.

In addition to being a distinguished professor at the university, Sir Martin Sweeting founded Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd. and serves as its executive chairman. He persuaded the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to launch UoSAT-1, the first contemporary 70 kg (150 lb) "microsatellite," as a secondary piggyback payload into Low Earth orbit in addition to a bigger primary payload.
