University Of Tampere History

The university was founded in 1925 as a civic college in Helsinki, Finland. Later, it was relocated in Tampere as School of Social Sciences in the year 1966. It is a public university which started with only a few students and now the number of students has gained momentum giving students a wonderful global exposure

University Of Tampere Programs Schools and Courses

The university contains 9 schools, 6 faculties, several programs, and courses. The university offers Bachelor’s, Masters and Doctoral degree programs. It is one of the most desired universities in Europe.

There are many vocational courses in the disciplines of municipal administration, humanities, public law, child protection, civic education, and social science, biomedical technology and many more. The university is famous for varied courses in applied sciences. It also offers exchange programmes like Erasmus enabling students a complete global exposure. The research work predominates in-game culture studies to tumor genetics at Centres of Excellence(CoE).

University Of Tampere Campuses

The university owes two campuses, the main campus is situated in the centre and the other one in the University hospital. In the university area, there are no dormitories, students can avail apartments on rent around the city.

The campus is equipped with laboratories with the latest technology, a language center wherein the students from all across the world can get acquainted with the local language. The library is one of its kind, which is open and unique and operates in 6 different units.

There is a huge increase in international students. It holds world ranking amongst the top 200 universities. The university caters its international students with a personal tutor who guides the students to get pally with the environment of the university preceding  the program

Students can also opt for minor subject studies from other Finnish universities which are unavailable in their home countries under the JOO agreement, they don’t have to pay extra charges, also the subject is included in their degree program. The university offers 50 to 100 % scholarships and grants for its Master Programs. The acceptance rate of the university is 11 %.
