University of Technology Iraq History

University of Technology Iraq is one of the esteemed public university located in Baghdad, Iraq. The University was founded in the year 1960. The University was initially started under the supervision of UNESCO for imparting industrial education with merely handful of students. Slowly and gradually it became one of the largest universities in Iraq.
The University was known as college of Industrial Technology and got renamed as University of Technology in the year 1965.The University is known for its various technology oriented programs.

University of Technology Iraq Courses and Schools

University of Technology Iraq is composed of eighteen colleges, sixteen faculties and many departments. It offers Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees in the disciplines of Applied Sciences, Medicine, , Education, Administrative Sciences, Education, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing, Civil Engineering, Automotive Sciences, Computer Sciences, Engineering, Sciences, Dentistry, Information Sciences, , and many more.
The University has three major research centres for accomplishing various researches.

The Campus represents state of art infrastructure and is furnished with Mosque, Science Centre, Computer Laboratories, Theatres, Stores, Cafeterias, fitness centre, Scientific Symposium and several other shops for its students.
There is huge central library in the campus vicinity. It is well equipped with latest version of books, electronic databases, mandates, journals and articles.
