University of the Fraser Valley abbreviated as UFV is a Canadian post secondary education institution located in Abbotsford, British Columbia. The university was established as Fraser Valley College in 1974 and was conferred university status in 2008. The university currently enrols over 15000 students.

University of the Fraser Valley Programs, Courses, and Schools

University of the Fraser Valley comprises of seven faculties and three schools which are further subdivided into sixteen academic departments offering a range of Bachelor Degrees, Master Degrees, Certificate Programs, Associate Degrees, Diplomas, and Advanced Diplomas.

University of the Fraser Valley offers programs in Business Administration, International Business, Accountancy and Finance, Nursing and Midwifery, Fine Arts, Applied Communication, Sciences and Technology, Computer Sciences, Social Sciences, and Humanities to name a few.

University of the Fraser Valley has its primary campus located in Abbotsford in British Columbia, Canada which serves as the university’s administrative headquarters in addition to three campuses in Chilliwack and Hope. The university also runs an overseas campus in Chandigarh, India offering Business programs in conjunction with  Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College.

University of the Fraser Valley offers a range of facilities to students which include modern classrooms and lecture theatres in addition to laboratories, activity center, gymnasium, and student halls of residence. The campus also houses libraries, halls of residence, and sports facilities.

University of the Fraser Valley is ranked 73rd nationally in the Webometrics University Rankings and 57th in Canada by UniRank University Rankings. The university is also accredited by Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills, and Training of British Columbia.

University of the Fraser Valley is a member of several professional bodies including Universities Canada, Canadian Bureau for International Education, and Canadian University Press. It also attracts a number of international students each year with 9.5% of its student body made up of students from 55 plus countries.
