The University of the Valley of Guatemala (UVG) offers strong student support systems, particularly through financial aid and scholarships that promote access, equity, and academic excellence. Much of this support is made possible through the US Foundation of the University of the Valley of Guatemala (USFUVG), which manages a $4.8 million endowment and actively funds scholarships, fellowships, and campus projects. In 2022 alone, 297 students received $318,230 in scholarships across UVG’s three campuses. While most of these are partial scholarships, they significantly ease the financial burden for students. Special contributions, like the $743,048 donation from ASHA, further enhance UVG’s facilities and educational outreach. UVG’s student-centered approach, global partnerships, and focus on underserved communities ensure that talented students—regardless of background—have opportunities to thrive and become leaders in Guatemala and beyond.
