University of Tokyo is a public university which was established in 1877 in Tokyo, Japan. The university has four campuses: Hongo Campus, Komaba Campus , Shirokanedai Campus and Kashiwa Campus.

University of Tokyo has more than 28,000 students including 14,274 undergraduate students and 13,732 graduate students. The university has 2,100 international students. The total number of faculties is 2,429. The student to faculty ratio is 11:1. The acceptance rate is 34.2%.

University of Tokyo- Komaba Campus offers the courses through College of Arts and Sciences, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences. The campus had variety of advanced research facilities. The two years of general education which is offered to the students before they choose special fields of study is offered only in University of Tokyo, Komaba Campus. More than 7,000 students study in this campus.
