The Velp campus is uniquely situated on the Larenstein Estate, a historic estate that serves as one large practical area for various study programmes. The estate features a landscaped native garden with multiple mini biotopes, different soil types, and over half of all 1,700 indigenous Dutch plant species. This outdoor laboratory is used for vegetation studies, water drainage calculations, land surveys, and soil research.
