Villanova University History

Villanova University's history started in the year 1842 when Augustinians established this higher education institute. It was named after Saint Thomas of Villanova. The roots of the University are under the Old Saint Augustine’s Church, Philadelphia. After 1918 the University became a co-ed institution.
