Virginia Tech is a public research university located in Blacksburg, Virginia. Virginia Tech also has educational facilities in six regions statewide, and a study-abroad site in Switzerland. Through its Corps of Cadets ROTC program, Virginia Tech is also designated as one of six senior military college in the country.It was established in 1872 and is now the commonwealth’s most comprehensive university as well as its leading research institution.
