Campus
The campus of Washington & Jefferson College is located in the city of Washington and the East Washington Borough, small-town communities about 30 miles south of Pittsburgh. The 60-acre campus is home to more than 40 academic, administrative, recreational, and residential buildings. The northern edge of campus is bound by East Walnut Street, the western edge by South College Street, the southern edge by East Maiden Street, and the eastern edge by South Wade. Portions of the campus extend into the East Washington Historic District. Four historic gates mark four traditional entrances to campus at East Maiden Street, Wheeling Street, South College Street, and Beau Street. In 1947, the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission installed a historical marker noting the historic importance of the college.

Student Society

Sports & Fitness
As an undergraduate, Olympian Nick Symmonds won the 800 NCAA championship race all four years and the 1,500 NCAA championship race as a freshman, junior, and senior. Symmonds later went on to place fifth in the 800 meter run at the 2012 Olympic Games. In 2007, Sarah Zerzan won the NCAA Division III title in cross country.

Residential Life
The Washington and Jefferson College has eleven residence halls exist on the Willamette campus. Undergraduate students are under contract to live on campus for two years, after which they may move into private residence or one of the university's apartment complexes. Lausanne Hall, originally home of the university's Women's College, is now one of the university's undergraduate dormitories. The building commemorates the ship that brought the reinforcements to Lee in 1839. York Hall commemorates the university's first graduate.

Part-Time Jobs
Washington and Jefferson College part-time jobs available as Student Assistant, Associates, and other Work Study Programs. These positions are not eligible for tuition or stipend benefit. Students can get $125 per week in Work Study Programs. The hours of working are limited to 16 hours a week only. Students can get jobs with the help of the Career Service Office or at Handshake.
