Washington State University, Spokane (also known as WSU Health Sciences, Spokane) is an extended campus of Washington State University located in Spokane. It was established in 1989 and was given the title of the university’s health campus in 2010. The total student count is 1685, out of which 534 are undergraduates and 1151 are postgraduate students.
Washington State University, Spokane History
In response to HECB’s conclusion in 1989 (Washington State Legislature) five branch campuses of WSU were established in Tacoma, Vancouver, the Tri-Cities and Spokane. WSU Spokane has been expanding significantly in the recent years, credits of which goes to the community support.

The athletic teams of the Washington University are called The Washington Cougars. The Washington Cougars is a member of Pac-12 Conference. The team consists of ten women’s sports and six men’s sports.
