These upgrades include new HVAC systems in several buildings, new windows and doors across campus, and new academic facilities designed to promote experiential learning and community impact. The campus, which spans 290 acres, is equipped with modern amenities to support both academic and student life. This includes high-tech classrooms in the Highlands Center, state-of-the-art laboratories in Arnett and Campbell Halls, and comprehensive IT infrastructure to support the Canvas Learning Management System for online learning. The university is dedicated to providing an innovative, safe, and nurturing environment for all students, with a focus on continuous improvement through data-driven assessment and strategic goals that enhance the university's operational and financial excellence.
Campus life at WLU is vibrant and engaging, with more than 50 active clubs and organizations catering to a wide range of interests, including social, religious, special, professional, departmental, and honorary. The Office of Housing and Student Life works to provide co-curricular activities, including programs like TopperFest, West Lib Idol, Open Mic Nights, and Team Trivia. Students can also get involved with the Student Government Association, Greek Life, and leadership programs.
