Applicants should have graduated from an accredited high school or equivalent (or completed secondary education recognised as university-entrance in their country).
For new high school-leavers: completion of the high-school curriculum (for Ohio-residents, the Ohio Core) with a cumulative GPA of around 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale is preferred. Applicants with GPA ~2.0 may be admitted under certain conditions.
For international students, if English is not the language of instruction at the prior institution and the diploma is not from a U.S. accredited high school, proof of English proficiency is required (via TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, or equivalent) unless exempt.
Certain programmes (e.g., engineering, liberal arts, science) may have additional minimum GPA or subject-specific requirements. For example, the College of Liberal Arts specifies 3.25 GPA & 22 ACT/1030 SAT for direct admission into some majors.
Transfer students must meet the university’s transfer criteria: e.g., a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale from the last institution and fulfil other programme adherence.
