1. Educational Qualification:
Applicants must have a foreign secondary school certificate that is equivalent to the German Abitur (such as A-levels, IB Diploma, or national high school diplomas from recognized countries).
If the qualification is not equivalent, students may be required to attend a Studienkolleg (preparatory course) or provide high scores in the TestAS aptitude test (core test score of at least 95 and subject-specific score of 100 or more).
2. Language Proficiency:
For German-taught programs, proof of advanced German language skills is required. Accepted certificates include DSH-2 or DSH-3, TestDaF with level 4 in all sections, Goethe-Zertifikat C2, DSD II, or telc C1 Hochschule.
For English-taught programs, proof of English proficiency such as TOEFL iBT (minimum 79) or IELTS (minimum 6.0) is required.
3. Application Portal – uni-assist:
Most international applicants must apply through uni-assist, the official service that evaluates international credentials.
Some exceptions may apply for specific programs (like Industrial Design) or transfer students.
