Yunnan University History
Yunnan University was established in the year 1922 and is located in Yunnan, China. It initially started as the University of the Eastern Land and eventually after multiple name changes received its current name. The University is authorized by the central government of China to be specially developed.

The University comprises of the schools namely School at Dianchi, School of Economy, School of Adult Education, School of Humanity and Liberal Arts, School of Life Science and Chemistry, School of Information, School of Science, Institute for Development Research, School of Occupational Technology, School of Law, School of Public Management, School of Business Administration and Tourism Management, School of Foreign Languages, International College of Modern Design Arts, School of Medicine, School of International Relations, School of International Cultures, School of Tourism and Culture and the School of Software Engineering.
Yunnan University Campuses
The main campus of the University is located in the provincial capital of Kunming and the most recent second campus is located in Chenggong. The University provides all essential facilities such as the library and sports facilities. An interesting feature of the University is that it consists of a herbarium which is the second oldest in the country.

The University boasts of a system of Technology transfer, a publishing house for its academic inventions, affiliated schools, the vast scope of scientific research, the Yunnan University Fund and many alliances of international cooperation.
