Zhejiang University of Technology History

Zhejiang University of Technology was founded in 1953 and is located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. The origin of the University can be traced back to the year 1910, however, it became an independent college in 1953 and a comprehensive technical university in 1993.

Zhejiang University of Technology comprises College of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, College of Mechanical Engineering, College of Information Engineering, College of Business and Administration, College of Civil Engineering and Architecture, College of Biological Engineering and Environmental Engineering, College of Humanities, College of Pharmaceutical Science, College of Science, College of Law, College of Foreign Languages, College of Art, College of Jianxing, College of Politics and Public Administration, Zhijiang College, College of Adult Education, International College, College of Educational Science and Technology, College of Vocational and Technical Education, College of Software Engineering and Software Vocational College as well as the Department of Physical Education and Military Training.

Zhejiang University of Technology has its campuses in Hangzhou and Quzhou. In Hangzhou, it comprises the Chaohui Campus, Pingfeng Campus, Zhijiang Campus, Liuxia Campus and Xiasha Campus. Whereas in Quzhou, it comprises Zhexi Campus and the Quzhou College.
