General Eligibility:
Must hold a university entrance qualification (e.g., Abitur, A-levels, or equivalent) or complete vocational training plus 3 years’ professional experience? .
Programmes such as Architecture, Art & Design, and Media involve a subject-specific aptitude assessment, which typically includes a portfolio, written task, interview, or practical test?.
Architecture (B.Sc.):
Requires German language proficiency (DSH?2 or TestDaF TDN?4/C1)? .
Applicants complete a two-stage aptitude test: an initial evaluation of grades, motivation, CV, and cognitive tasks (part?1), followed by a spatial/artistic ability test and interview (part?2)? .
An architecture-related internship (recommended up to 12 weeks) strengthens the application? .

A hydrogen fuel-cell-powered model vehicle built by Environmental Engineering Master’s students. The project involved planning, engineering, 3D printing, and collaboration with sponsors—with the goal of transporting materials 100 m using green hydrogen for sustainable autonomous logistics .
Developed by student Michael Rieke, this three-wheeled, lightweight autonomous platform supports precision farming—conducting soil analysis, fertilization, and weed management. It earned a Gold Medal at iENA 2018, and its creators have since sought patent registration and commercialization partners .
This prototype pavilion, constructed on the university campus, tests holistic wood–concrete composite construction and passive-house standards. Designed by Walter Stamm‑Teske and involving over 20 industry partners, it functions as a live demonstrator for new materials, prefabricated building technologies, and energy-efficient architecture.
