JEE Mains exam city slip and admit card are expected to be released any time soon. The first session of the JEE Mains January slot will be conducted on 24th January, 2024. The state government of Odisha has started offering free online coaching to government school students for competitive exams like JEE and NEET. All the students who have chosen science stream in their class 11th and 12th are eligible to take this coaching in their schools free of cost. The government has made arrangements for smart classes in all government schools that will facilitate virtual coaching.
This coaching will be provided in 735 different government schools across Odisha. A panel of experts educators and mentors have been selected by the state government who will look after the preparation of students in government schools for competitive exams.
Delhi University has started a new financial support scheme. Students can register for the same till 10th January until 5 PM. All the students who have an annual family income below Rs. 800000 can register for the same. Any student who has a family income below Rs.4,00,00 annually is eligible for a hundred percent scholarship. Students having an annual income between Rs.4 lakhs to Rs.8 lakhs are eligible for 50% scholarship.
Students need to submit necessary caste certificates while submitting their application for the scholarship. Programs like BA LLB and BTech are ineligible for the scholarship because of the already existing financial assistance programs for these courses.
The United Kingdom has finally announced the latest rules and regulations related to the family members of international students who want to study in the UK in 2024. The UK will restrict the ability of international students to bring family members with them to the country. This news was announced by the British Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak who said that international students across different universities in the UK are no longer eligible to bring their spouses or family members to the country.
This will help in controlling the rate of immigration and the government is expecting to receive at least 1,40,000 fewer immigrants than before. As said by the Department this is a step towards the manipulation of immigration system of the State.

IIT Kanpur announced in 2023 that any student scoring a rank under top hundred students in the JEE advance exam will not have to pay any tuition fee or living expenses if they choose to study in the institution. All the expenses of the students will be covered by the institute itself.
The United States of America has recently introduced new guidelines regarding visa, interview waivers for nonimmigrant visas, including student visas. As per the new changes, an individual applying for a student visa interview waiver can qualify only if they had previously applied for a non-immigrant visa that was issued to them. Also, it is compulsory that the candidate applies for only 48 months within the expiration of the previous Visa.
