The TCS rates applied to foreign education for students going abroad will remain unchanged for this year. The rates applicable in the previous year will continue from July 1, 2023. As per the finance ministry, the TCS exemption rate is Rs.7 lakhs, and the TCS rate is 0.5%.
This means that if you are taking the help of a bank for financing your education loan below seven lakhs, then no TCS rate will be applied. On the other hand, if the loan is more than seven lakhs, then a TCS rate of 0.5% will be used

Mercer University has awarded its latest round of global leaders scholarships for 2023 through its global engagement office. A total of 21 students were selected for the scholarship. $65,590 will be given to the students to become a part of the study abroad program.

The national medical Council will be responsible for generating and giving the UID numbers to doctors. The ethical board of NMC has decided on specific parameters to provide UIDs for practitioners.

NTA has released the exam city slips for the CUET UG exam. The exam city slips are available on the official website of CUET UG. All those candidates who registered for the exam can download their exam city slips. The CUET UG exam will be conducted from 21st May to 31st May. A total number of 16.85 lakh students have registered for the examination. The number of students who have registered for the exam has increased substantially because of the fact that more universities have participated this year in the entrance examination.
The admit cards will be out three days prior to the examination date.
The National Council for Vocational Education has set up a 16 member council for the purpose of introducing artificial intelligence as a course in the curriculum of students. The committee comprises members from various cabinets and other stakeholders who have backgrounds in technology and innovation. The job of the committee is to submit a report on the same by 20th June, 2023.

CBSE has declared class 10th results on its official website on 12th May, 2023. Out of the 2184117 who registered for the examination, 2165805 students appeared for the exam. Out of the appearing students 2016779 students have cleared the class 10th exams. Students can check their results on the official website of CBSE. Every student will get a printed mark sheet of their examination result from their respective schools. This year, like last year, the performance of girls has been better in the examination. The passing percentage among girls is 94.77% whereas in boys it's 92.25%. More than 44,000 students have scored more than 95% in the examination. For all the students who have not been able to clear their examination or wish to appear for improvement, CBSE will be conducting the supplementary exams from July. Students have to register themselves for these exams.
CBSE has declared the class 12th results on its official website. Both the class 10th and class 12th results have been declared on the same day that is 12th May, 2023. This year the passing percentage among the class 12th students is 87.33% which is better from 83.4% of 2019 that is the pre-pandemic time. Thiruvananthapuram has performed the best in the country in terms of results with 99.1% of the students clearing the exam. Prayagraj is at the bottom of the list with just 73% of the students clearing the exam. Students can check the results on the official website of CBSE and even DigiLocker.
