University of Wollongong denies any claims of banning Indian students

University of Wollongong has issued an official statement denying all the news regarding bending of South Asia and students because of fraudulent applications. Some weeks ago, a new scheme that said that around five universities from Australia have banned Indian students from some particular states because of the number of fake applications that these universities receive. To increase the efficiency and make the selection process a lot faster for other students, these five universities will not be accepting applications from Indian states of Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, UP and Gujarat. Now the University of Wollongong has issued an official statement in which it has denied any such bans. In fact, the university officials have said that instead of imposing any kind of bans, the university has made the process a lot easier.

Registration for JEE advanced 2023 begins for POI, OCI and Foreign Nationals

The official registration process for the JEE advanced exam 2023 has begun for persons of Indian origin, Overseas Citizen of India and foreign nationals. All the interested candidates can register themselves for the exam through the official website of JEE advance. The OCI and POI candidates will be able to sit for the JEE advanced exam without clearing the JEE mains exam. These candidates will be able to apply under two categories which are general and general person with disability.

The USA to give priority to Indian students in the coming summer for work visa

According to an official from the immigration department of the USA, the USA will be aiming to give around 1 million work visas to Indian students in the coming summers. The Biden administration has decided to process all the student applications for work visas , especially from Indian students. This is the very reason why the US Consulate has opened a new office in Hyderabad. This is a new office and will be replacing the old office which was located in Paigah Palace earlier. The new visa office has the capacity to process 3500 visas on a daily basis as compared to the old office which could process only 1100 visas. On a daily basis. The office will increase the work efficiency and will make the processing of work visas for Indian students a lot faster and efficient.

UGC chairman announces dates for CUET PG exam 2023

The registration window for the CUET Pg exam 2023 started on April 20th. Students can register themselves till fifth May, 2023. UGC chairman M Jagadesh Kumar has announced the dates for the examination. The examination will be conducted on 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 June 2023. To keep in touch with the latest updates, candidates must keep on checking the website of NTA. NTA is responsible for conducting the CUET UG and PG exam. The CUET exam was introduced last year as a common entrance exam for all universities to give admissions to students. Now instead of getting admission through that percentage and the cut-off method, students will have to appear for this entrance exam in order to get into their desired colleges.

NEET UG 2023 exam city slips to be out today

The NEET UG 2023 exam city's lips are expected to be out today. NTA will be releasing the exam city slips for all the students who have registered for the exam. Generally the slips are out before the admit card. Students will appear for the NEET UG 2023 exam on 7th May, 2023. As of now there is no official confirmation from NEET. But since there is only two weeks of time for the exam, experts have said that the exam city slips can be out very soon. Canada rated as the most popular study abroad destination

In a survey done among 20,000 international students from hundred different countries, Canada has been rated as the most popular study abroad destination among international students. Australia was the second most popular study abroad destination for 23% of the students voting for the country. The USA was the third most popular study abroad destination with 21% of the students voting for the country. Around 72% of the students who voted for Canada said that they prefer the country because of the post study work opportunities that the country offers. 63% of the students said that they are interested in getting a PR in Canada. Around 80% of the students said that they are either planning or already working part time to support themselves.

The USA to schedule visa interviews for Indian students by 30%

Delays in visa process for Canada due to workers strike

Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has announced that a  labour union representing 1,55,000 workers that work in processing visas for international students going to Canada will be going on strike. So all the international students who have applied for a study or work visa to Canada can expect delays. The union had issues with the government related to their wages. After not coming on a mutual agreement, the union decided to go on a strike on 19th April, 2023. People can expect the services to be delayed or not given at all for some period of time. Recently, Australia banned five Indian states from applying to Australian universities. The ban created a controversy among Indian students. The states that have been banned include Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan. Here is what you need to know about the ban.

International student application rise by 162% in tier 2 and tier 3 cities in India

JEE mains answer key available on its official website

The official answer key for JEE mains 2023 exam is out on its official website. Candidates can download the answer key to check their marks. Generally, the answer key is available on the official website before the mark sheet is released. Students can easily calculate the total marks and also get the idea of the annual cut off.
