BSc in Computer Science & Design Programs:

Elite: minimum 75%

Advanced/Scientific: minimum 80%

General/Literary: minimum 85%

Technical/Vocational/Commercial: minimum 85%

International High School Diplomas (e.g., American, British) require an equivalency certificate from the UAE Ministry of Education, and the average must meet the levels above.

English Language Proficiency:

Must meet one of the following (accepted only from authorized testing centers):

TOEFL ITP: 500+

TOEFL iBT: 61+

IELTS (Academic): 5.0+

EmSAT English: 1100

Subject Competency Requirements for specific programs:

AUE requires demonstration of subject proficiency (e.g., Mathematics, Physics) via:

EmSAT Achievement subject test (e.g., 700 in related subjects)

UAE High School Grade 12 score of 80

Or a score of 80 in the AUE placement test

Conditional & Probationary Admission:

Probationary Admission is granted to applicants below minimum thresholds (excluding Law and Business). Probation includes enrollment in up to 12 credit hours and requires achieving a CGPA of at least 2.0 by the end of the semester to remain in the program; otherwise, dismissal occurs.

Provisional Admission applies when documents are pending—students must submit missing documents within the first semester.
