Q. Does A-State help me find a job post my studies?

• ESL Students cannot work on-campus or off-campus.
• Undergraduate & Graduate students can work on-campus 20 hours a week when school is in session and 28 hours a week when school is not in session
• THERE ARE OPPORTUNITIES! 
• We have a Career Services Office that helps find jobs for students on campus. 
• We also have someone in the International Office that connects with Businesses in town to help students find CPT (internship options)!
• During school, students can also participate in CPT (Curricular Practical Training), which is an internship during their studies on or off campus, paid or un-paid
• After graduation, they can participate in OPT (Optional Practical Training). This is a 1 year period of legal work authorization to work in their field of study off-campus after they graduate.
• If in a STEM field, student can extend this for an additional 24 months
• This work authorization can lead into a H1B sponsorship, if your business you work for chooses to do so
