Egyptian students apply through the centralized national admission system via the Ministry of Higher Education. You submit your high school “Thanawiyya Amma” certificate and select your preferred faculties. Entry is based on your exam score, available seats per faculty, and any faculty-specific requirements or aptitude tests (e.g. Medicine, Engineering). After official placement, you submit documents like your original certificate, birth certificate, passport photos, military documentation (for males), and medical fitness form during the university enrollment period.
International applicants submit their forms through the Study-in-Egypt portal or via Assiut’s International Office. Required items include your passport, equivalency of your high school diploma, photo IDs, a health clearance certificate, and bank statements. Certain programs may require standardized English tests or NEET for medical fields. Once accepted, you receive a confirmation letter to secure a student visa, then finalize enrollment at the university, obtaining a student ID and registering for courses.
