Established on August 18, 1961, Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) is the first agricultural university in Bangladesh and the second-largest public university in the country. Located in Mymensingh, approximately 120 km north of Dhaka, BAU spans about 1,200 acres along the western bank of the old Brahmaputra River.
