Q. How many intakes does BSBI have?

BSBI’s main intakes are February, May and October, however, these do vary depending on the programme.

Q. What are the eligibility requirements for admission to BSBI?

Undergraduate Programmes:

Minimum age: 18 (titles awarded upon completion of at least 12 years of schooling)
Academic qualifications:
- A school leaving certificate that allows you to pursue higher education in Germany (e.g. Abitur, Fachhochschulreife, Matura or International Baccalaureate)
- International school leaving certificates
- BTEC/National Diploma
- Advanced Vocational Certificate of Education

Postgraduate Programmes:

Minimum age: 21
Academic qualifications:

Strong undergraduate degree from a recognized university.

If you do not meet the above academic requirements, applicants with professional qualifications and/or 4 or more years of full-time work experience will be considered on an individual basis.

Q. What are the English Language requirements for studying at BSBI?

Undergraduate Programmes:

IELTS – minimum score of 5.0 or 6.0 (minimum 4.5 or 5.5 in each component) – depending on programme.
PTE – minimum score of 50 or equivalent.

English proficiency requirements can be waived for:

Native English speakers;
Applicants who completed their education in English (such as a high school diploma or IB).

Postgraduate Programmes:

IELTS – minimum score of 6.0 (minimum 5.5 in each component), or;
PTE – minimum score of 50 or equivalent.

English proficiency requirements can be waived for:

Native English speakers;
Applicants who completed their education in English (such as a high school diploma or IB).
Applicants having completed their undergraduate degree in English in an English-speaking country.

Q. What is the application fee for BSBI?

There is no application fee.

Q. Do I need to pay a deposit?

If you receive an offer to study an undergraduate or postgraduate programme, you will be required to pay a deposit upon acceptance of that offer. You will normally receive a deposit invoice within five working days of accepting your conditional offer. Once you receive your deposit invoice, you will need to make the payment within 28 working days. Once we receive your deposit payment, your place will be fully secured.
