Typical Entry Requirements

Relevant Undergraduate Degree:

E.g., MA in Music Education requires a related Bachelor’s in music and CEFR C1 German  .

MA Architecture requires a 4?year BA in Architecture (or equivalent) plus a 5?month internship, creative aptitude, and C1 German  .

 

Artistic & Academic Proficiency: Specific to program:

 

Composition MA: Requires B.Mus in Composition, musical talent, and B2 German  .

Design & Computation MA: Accepts any relevant BA, German C1, portfolio, and support materials  .

Sound Studies & Sonic Arts MA: Requires Bachelor’s or equivalent, ≥1 year of sound-related professional experience, artistic talent, and English C1 / TOEFL iBT 100  .

 

 

 

 

Application Steps

 

 

Register via the UdK portal (my.udk-berlin.de).

Pay €40–50 application fee  .

Submit: CV, bachelor’s diploma/transcript (translated if needed), bank transfer proof, language certificates, portfolio or audition/video materials.

Portfolio pre-selection, then entrance exam/interview (program-specific format).
