In order to provide a safe and secure environment for all students, employees, and visitors, Birkbeck, University of London places a high priority on student safety through security personnel, emergency protocols, and safeguarding regulations. To maintain campus safety, security personnel are on duty twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. In addition to fire safety protocols and evacuation plans for people with disabilities, Birkbeck has put in place general emergency evacuation measures for employees, students, and guests. Students who are deemed to be a risk to themselves or others will be worked with by the Safeguarding Team or other appropriate departments/Student Services to make sure a support system is in place to lessen the risk.
