1.    Academic Excellence: Applicants are expected to have a strong academic record. While BU does not specify a minimum GPA, the average GPA of admitted students is approximately 3.89 on a 4.0 scale, indicating that successful candidates typically graduate near the top of their class. 

    2.    Standardized Test Scores: BU has adopted a test-optional policy, allowing applicants to decide whether to submit SAT or ACT scores. For those who choose to submit scores, the middle 50% range for admitted students is:

    •    SAT: 1410–1500

    •    ACT: 32–34 

    3.    Coursework Requirements: A rigorous high school curriculum is essential. BU recommends the following coursework:

    •    English: 4 years

    •    Mathematics: 3–4 years (precalculus/calculus recommended)
