Every year, Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) accept about 200 students into our BM BS degree program. With one of the highest application rates of any UK medical school in recent admissions rounds, BSMS has shown to be incredibly popular. At Falmer, students spend the majority of their first two years on university campuses. In every department, we have specially designed instructional facilities. Early clinical involvement, a wide breadth of experience, and a solid basis in basic science are all emphasized in the curriculum. Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) are not dedicated to a single delivery technique and, under the direction of the Department of Medical Education, use a variety of teaching and learning strategies as needed for the specific situation.
First and second year classes will mostly be taught at the Falmer campuses of the Universities of Sussex and Brighton. Accommodations will be provided to you as a first-year medical student. However, you must apply for university residences before the deadline in late June 2025 and prioritize BSMS when confirming spots with UCAS.
