Relevant Bachelor’s Degree
Applicants must hold a BSc (or equivalent) in a related field from a university accredited by Egypt’s Supreme Council of Universities. Some programs allow a postgraduate diploma if the bachelor's GPA is lower than Good (C) 

Minimum Academic Grade Point
Most master’s programs require at least a "Good" grade (C+) or a GPA around 2.3–2.7, depending on the faculty. Engineering programs, for instance, require a minimum of C (Good) for MSc and D (Pass) for MEng 

English Language Proficiency
A valid IELTS (typically ≥6.5) or TOEFL (≥550 for paper-based, ≥90 iBT) is required, with some flexibility allowing submission by end of first year. Failure to meet this leads to BUE placement testing 

Military or Residency Documentation
Egyptian male applicants must submit proof of military service completion or exemption; international students need a valid two-year Egyptian visa 

Required Paperwork
Applicants must provide original documents: BSc certificate, transcript, birth certificate, ID/passport copy, 4 personal photos, and proof of military status or visa

Program-Specific Assessments or Experience
Certain faculties require additional criteria—for example: nursing mandates a minimum BSc grade C and may include interviews; dentistry requires a valid dental license and GPA ≥2.3; some may ask for entrance exams or work experience
