Even (or maybe especially) if you don't yet have a professional route in mind, they would strongly advise you to actively participate in career planning and controlling your personal growth from the very beginning of your studies. One-on-one career consultations with their professional careers counsellor for researchers can help you with a variety of issues. The Brunel Researcher Development Program offers regular career workshops and events that are exclusively for researchers. A monthly career workshop including subjects like actively managing your career, choosing a career, job-seeking tactics, CV, application, and interview advice is part of this. Additionally, throughout the academic year, the Professional Development Centre hosts a diverse schedule of career activities for the entire university, such as skills seminars, employer events, recruitment fairs, and "uncovered" industry insight sessions.
