Housing facilities (Accommodation)

Carinthia University of Applied Sciences (CUAS) does not guarantee on-campus housing, so students mainly arrange accommodation through student dormitories, shared flats (WG), or private rentals in cities like Villach, Klagenfurt, Spittal an der Drau, and Feldkirchen. Most international students choose shared apartments or student residences because they are more affordable and socially active. Monthly costs typically range from about €300–€500 for a shared room and can go higher for private apartments depending on location and size.

The most common option is student dormitories available in Villach and nearby campuses, but places are limited and often allocated early, especially for first-semester and international students. Because of high demand, many students also use private housing platforms such as WG-Gesucht, willhaben.at, and local rental agencies to find rooms. CUAS and the International Office guide students with housing information and help them understand rental contracts, registration, and scam prevention during their arrival process.
