Carnegie Mellon University’s main campus is a 157.2 acre campus which is located between Schenley Park and Squirrel Hill. The University’s campus is bordered to the west by the campus of University of PittsBurgh. The Campus has 81 buildings in Oakland and Squirrel Hill. The buildings of the campus are designed in Mid-Century Modern architecture. It has a large grassy area known as “the Cut '' which forms the backbone of the campus with another grassy area called the “the Mall”. The northwestern part of the campus has Hamburg Hall, Newell-Simon Hall, Smith Hall and Gates Hillman Complex. Carnegie Mellon University has been running on a 100% renewable source of electricity from 2011.

TRADITIONS
The Carnegie Mellon University hosts many events for the students such as The Fence, Spring Carnival, Buggy Races, Mobot, Bagpipers, The Kiltie Band and Autographing the Green Room. The Spring Carnival is the biggest event of the school year; the Spring Carnival features the ‘Buggy Sweepstakes’ and ‘Booth’ competitions between various organizations. Buggy Races is a race around Schenley Park.
ACCOMMODATION
Carnegie Mellon University offers conventional housing for their students through coeducational, single-gender and special interests options. Students can choose from various housing options. The three options for first year students are standard, prime and apartment style living. The standard is a typical college dormitory setting, a long hallway with a series of double rooms both ways. Prime offers more private suite-style rooms. Apartment style is available through the Residence on Fifth and additional options for housing.
SPORTS AND FITNESS
Carnegie Mellon University was the founding member of the University Athletic Association of NCAA Division III. Currently there are many sports options like basketball, Track, cross country, football, golf, soccer, swimming and diving, volleyball, tennis, hockey and rowing.

1. CMU A Academic Merit Scholarships

Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines
When lodging your program application simply tick the scholarship application box when you apply.
Scholarships are only granted once a completed, eligible application is submitted. Confirmation of the scholarship value will be offered at the time of offer into the program.
2. CMU A Scholarships for International Students
The CMU Australia Scholarships for International Students are granted to applicable students from Asia, South America, and Africa and apply for Carnegie Mellon University Australia master programs.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines
Students who are applicable for the scholarships need to meet the below criteria:
Be a citizen of a country in Asia, South America or Africa.
Meet the admission requirements for a CMU Australia full-time master coursework degree, 12 month or 21-month tracks.
Students who are citizens or hold permanent residency in Australia or New Zealand are not eligible.
This scholarship will not be applicable to students who defer the commencement.
This scholarship is not applicable in conjunction with any other CMU Australia scholarships or other government scholarships including but not limited to Endeavour and Australian Awards scholarships.
Students need to maintain their enrolment throughout their course in full-time study and meet CMU Australia’s academic progression policy.
If a student withdraws from the master's program before completion, he/she may be required to repay the value of the scholarship awarded.
