Applicants must hold a recognized bachelor’s degree (minimum 180 ECTS or equivalent) from an accredited university in a relevant field. The degree must allow access to postgraduate studies in the country where it was awarded. 

International applicants are generally expected to have strong academic results in their previous university studies. Many programs require at least around 55–65% average (about 11/20 to 13/20 on the Belgian grading scale), although exact requirements vary depending on the faculty and program. 

Students must demonstrate proficiency in the language of instruction.

French-taught programs: usually require B1–B2 level French.

English-taught programs: may require tests such as IELTS or TOEFL (e.g., IELTS around 6–6.5 or TOEFL iBT about 79). 

International applicants usually need to submit:

Bachelor’s degree certificate and academic transcripts

Curriculum vitae (CV)

Motivation or cover letter

Recommendation letter(s) (sometimes required)

Language proficiency certificate

Copy of passport or identity document. 

Some master’s programs may also request GMAT/GRE scores, interviews, or additional coursework depending on the field of study (e.g., management or economics).
