Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium
To apply for a bachelor’s program at UCLouvain, applicants must provide one of the following documents:
• Upper Secondary Education Certificate: Awarded by a fully accredited secondary education institution in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation (FWB).
• Higher Education Diploma: Obtained from a Belgian university or haute école.
• Entrance Exam Proof: Evidence of passing an entrance exam organized by higher education establishments or an exam board of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
• Secondary School Diploma: This includes:
• National diplomas awarded by the Flemish Community, the German-speaking Community, or the Royal Military School.
• Foreign diplomas recognized as equivalent, such as the European Baccalaureate and the Geneva International Baccalaureate.
• Diploma of Aptitude for Access to Higher Education (DAES): Issued by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation exam board.
For applicants with foreign qualifications, obtaining an equivalency decision from the Ministry of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation is necessary. Specific conditions may apply depending on the applicant’s nationality and the nature of their diploma. For instance, non-European Union applicants must have obtained their secondary school diploma within the three academic years preceding their application and may need to meet additional academic performance criteria.
