After completing your studies, you can apply for a residence permit to seek employment or start a business in Sweden. This permit allows you to stay for up to 12 months to find a job relevant to your field. To be eligible, you must have held a valid residence permit for studies in Sweden and have completed your programme. You need to apply before your current student permit expires, show a valid passport, and prove that you have comprehensive health insurance and funds to support yourself during the search period.
The rules for family members (spouse/partner and minor children) are different for the post-study work seeker permit. They do not automatically receive a residence permit based on your application. They would need to qualify for and apply for their own permits, typically requiring that you have already found a job that meets certain income and insurance requirements.
