Coe College History

Coe College is a private college located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It was established in the year in 1851 by the Rev. Williston Jones as the School for the Prophets. The university is historically officially recognized with the Presbyterian Church. The college is the member of the Associated Colleges of the Midwest and the Association of Presbyterian Colleges and Universities.

Coe College the Dr from the ophthalmology background was assisted in the United States Army Medical Corps, and was the first American ophthalmologist in Vietnam. He also received a Bronze Star for his service and was awarded with Ceo’s Founder’s Medal in 2018.

Coe College has been acknowledge on his prestigious top list for five of the past seven years positioning the college among the top 12 bachelor’s college in the nation. It is also recognized as a top grower of U.S Fulbright students.

Coe College Scholarships

1. Global Leadership Scholarship

Merit-based scholarships will be awarded based on your academic performance in high school and exams such as the SAT. All awarded scholarships are renewable each year for three years. Scholarships range up to $26,000 per academic year.  Coe College provides one full-tuition scholarship each year to a non-U.S. citizen attending high school outside of the U.S.

Need-based grants are awarded based on a student’s financial need. Coe cannot guarantee to meet the need of any student. However, need-based grants have helped many international students afford a Coe education. Awards amounts vary based on demonstrated need.

Eligibility Criteria /Scholarship Guidelines:

 Students must be a first-time college student and reside on campus.

 Applicants must complete the application for admission process and the separate full-tuition scholarship application.

This award is only available to students attending Coe College.

The applicant must not be a citizen of the USA.

Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance in high school and exams such as the SAT.

Bank statement on official bank letterhead indicating sufficient funds to cover the cost of attendance. The bank statement should be stamped or signed by a bank official.

Affidavit of support submitted by a sponsor and accompanied by an official bank statement verifying the availability of funds for overseas educational support.

Scholarship letter from a sponsoring organization indicating dates, monetary amounts, and terms of sponsorship.
