Coventry University is a public research university in the city of Coventry, England. The university was formerly known as Lanchester Polytechnic until 1987, and Coventry Polytechnic until 1992 when it was awarded the university status. It is part of the Coventry University Group. The university has two key campuses, one in Coventry and the other one in London.
The university comprises of 4 faculties: Faculty of Arts & Humanities, Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Computing, Faculty of Health & Life Sciences and the Faculty of Business & Law (comprising of the Coventry Business School and Coventry Law School). The total student population at Coventry University is more than 29,000 of which more than 23,000 are enrolled in the undergraduate courses. The student to faculty ratio at the university is 15:1.
The university has a partnership with ONCAMPUS, which offers International Foundation Program, International Year-1, Master’s Qualifying Program and English Language Preparation Program. The International Foundation Program offers progression to Year-1 of a wide range of undergraduate degrees or International Year-1 of Business and Management. The International Year-1program can offer progression to year-2 of selected Business degrees. The Master’s Qualifying Program is available as a one, two or three term program which can offer progression to a wide range of Master’s degrees. The English Language Preparation Program can offer progression (subject to fulfillment of the specified criteria) to International Foundation, International Year-1 and Master’s Qualifying Program.
