Housing facilities (Accommodation)

Federal Center for Technological Education Celso Suckow da Fonseca (CEFET/RJ) does not generally provide on-campus accommodation, particularly for international and exchange students. Its official guidance for foreign students states that CEFET/RJ does not have student housing or a dedicated service for arranging accommodation, although its International Relations Office (ASCRI) can provide assistance to exchange students in finding suitable housing.

For students facing financial or social vulnerability, CEFET/RJ's Student Assistance Policy provides for a Student Housing Programme (Programa Moradia) and a Housing Allowance (Auxílio Moradia) where there is an established demand and subject to eligibility and available resources. The housing programme is intended primarily for students who lack sufficient family or other support to secure accommodation in the city where they study.

However, for 2026, the institution's Student Assistance Programme states that only the Programa de Auxílio ao Estudante (PAE) is being offered, subject to budget availability. Students therefore need to check the current annual notice to determine whether housing-related financial assistance is available to them.
