Academic Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in a relevant field of study.

Strong academic performance in undergraduate studies, with a focus on the field of the intended master's program.

Research experience may be required, especially for research-based master's programs.

Some programs may require a minimum GPA or specific academic prerequisites.

Completed application form (available on UFPA’s International Office website).

Valid passport (with ID and visa pages).

Bachelor’s degree diploma (with an official translation to Portuguese).

Academic transcripts from the undergraduate program (translated into Portuguese).

Curriculum Vitae (CV) or résumé highlighting academic background, research, and professional experience.

Research proposal or statement of academic and research interests.

Two letters of recommendation (from professors or professionals in the relevant field).

Proof of language proficiency (Portuguese or English, depending on the course).

Proof of financial support (for visa and living purposes).

Medical certificate (for student health clearance).

 Language Proficiency

Portuguese proficiency is required for most programs, proven through CELPE-Bras (Certificado de Proficiência em Língua Portuguesa para Estrangeiros).

Some programs may offer courses in English; if so, English proficiency may be required (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS).
