A) ENEM + SiSU (Standard Brazilian Entry Exam)

Most common route for foreigners with Brazilian high school equivalence.

Must take the ENEM (National High School Exam) and apply via SiSU (Unified Selection System).

Portuguese proficiency is mandatory (no separate language test, but ENEM is in Portuguese).

B) International Agreements (PEC-G, PEC-PG, or Bilateral Programs)

PEC-G (Undergraduate Student Agreement Program):

For students from developing countries with a Brazilian government partnership.

Requires:

High school diploma (recognized in Brazil).

Portuguese proficiency (CELPE-Bras exam – intermediate level minimum).

Pass an interview at the Brazilian embassy.

Mercosur & Other Bilateral Agreements: Some spots reserved for students from partner nations.

C) Independent Application (Vagas Remanescentes – Leftover Spots)

If seats remain unfilled, UNIFESP may open direct applications for foreigners.

Requirements:

Valid high school diploma (revalidated in Brazil).

Proof of Portuguese proficiency (CELPE-Bras or equivalent).

Possible entrance exam or document-based selection.

2. Key Requirements for All Applicants

Academic Records: High school diploma officially recognized/revalidated by a Brazilian public university or state education board.

Portuguese Proficiency: CELPE-Bras (Intermediate/Advanced) is required unless exempt (e.g., native Portuguese speakers).

Visa & Documentation:

Student Visa (VITEM-IV) before arrival.

CPF (Brazilian tax ID), birth certificate, passport, and academic transcripts.
