A major shared facility is the Central University Library (ZHB), which serves both FUAS and Europa-Universität Flensburg and provides academic resources, internet workstations, library training and study facilities. The campus also has the Audimax/Central Auditorium, cafeteria facilities including the B-Mensa, sports and fitness facilities, study rooms and student-service facilities.
Student life at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences (FUAS) combines academic activities with a range of social, cultural, sporting and international events. The university's green campus provides spaces for students to meet and relax, while regular activities include campus cinema, pub quizzes, student parties, cultural events and activities organised by the General Students' Committee (AStA) and student representatives. The university has a particularly active international student community. The International Office organises events such as international games nights, Christmas celebrations, networking activities and language clubs, while orientation weeks help new students meet classmates and become familiar with the campus and city. In 2026, FUAS's orientation programme included a welcome event, treasure hunt, pub quiz and International Games Night.
Students can also take advantage of the shared campus with Europa-Universität Flensburg, which provides access to a wider range of courses, library resources and sports opportunities. The university's location near the Flensburg harbour and the German-Danish border adds opportunities for outdoor and cross-cultural activities, including sailing and windsurfing.

Flensburg University of Applied Sciences (FUAS) supports student recruitment and graduate employment through CampusCareer, a joint career service of FUAS and Europa-Universität Flensburg. CampusCareer connects students with regional companies and organisations through a dedicated job portal that advertises student jobs, internships, thesis opportunities and entry-level positions. The university also facilitates employer presentations, workshops, practical semester projects, career fairs and networking events, enabling students to interact with potential employers during their studies. In addition, students receive individual support with CVs, motivation letters, interview preparation, internships and the transition into employment. For international students, FUAS provides additional career guidance, employer networking, company visits and information on employment-related matters. The university places particular emphasis on connecting graduates with the regional labour market, including start-ups, small and medium-sized enterprises and larger organisations.
The below information is required while
completing the university application :
1. International students applying for a full bachelor's degree at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences (FUAS) generally need a recognised university entrance qualification that is equivalent to the German qualification required for admission to a university of applied sciences.
2. Applicants whose school leaving qualification was obtained outside Germany must apply online through uni assist, which evaluates their educational credentials.
3. Required documents normally include a current tabular CV, copy of the school leaving/university entrance qualification, certified translations into German or English where required, passport/ID, and proof of German or English language proficiency depending on the programme.
4. Most FUAS bachelor's programmes are German taught, so applicants generally need to provide an accepted proof of sufficient German language proficiency; the exact level and accepted certificates depend on the individual programme.
5. Applicants should therefore check the language requirements of their chosen bachelor's programme before applying. Some programmes contain English taught components, while the university also provides language learning support for international students.
6. If an international applicant's previous school qualification does not provide direct university entrance eligibility in Germany, they may need to complete a Studienkolleg before beginning a bachelor's programme.
7. FUAS offers a technical and engineering oriented preparatory route requiring, among other things, a suitable educational background, German at B1 level, and successful entrance examinations in German and mathematics.
